mites!
all of my guinea pigs are affected with dust mites,they are mites that the guinea pigs can catch from the hay so its really hard to prevent them.
yesterday i brought them a spray and treated them all now i am happy to say we have cleared the infestation!

When our first pair of guinea pigs developed hay mites our vet told us to freeze the hay before we give it to them. This freezes & kills the bugs. We now have a lunchbox in the freezer at all times which we top up their hay with. We have never had hay mites since (4 years!).
